Terms of Service

1Acceptance & who may agree

By creating an account or using Heroco (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. Only an adult (18+ or the age of majority where you live) acting as a parent or legal guardian may create an account and accept these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2Accounts & the child user

The account is held by the parent/guardian, who is responsible for it and for their child’s use of the Service. A child aged 7–15 may use the Service only under that supervised account. Keep your credentials secure and your information accurate; one parent account per family unless we say otherwise.

3The service

Heroco is a gamified platform that teaches children to create with AI — prompting, images, stories, games and, for teens, simple building. Features may change as the Service evolves.

4Acceptable use

You and your child agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to bypass the safety sandbox, extracting other users’ data, uploading unlawful or harmful content, or using the AI features to generate prohibited content. The parent is responsible for the child’s compliance.

5Subscriptions & auto-renewal

Paid plans are billed monthly (annual option available) at $9.90/month for Core or $19.90/month for Family (US dollars (USD)). Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. We disclose the renewal terms before you subscribe, and you may cancel at any time, at least as easily as you signed up, via your account settings or by emailing hi@heroco.ai; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We’ll notify you before any price change. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6Founding-member deposit

Our early-access “founding member” deposit of $10 is fully refundable. Details, timing and how to request a refund are in the Refund & Deposit Policy.

7Payments & billing

Payments are processed by WayForPay, our payment provider. By providing payment details you authorise the applicable charges (deposit and/or subscription). Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and include any applicable taxes. Your card statement will show Heroco (via WayForPay). Heroco does not store your full card number.

8Content & intellectual property

Heroco and its platform, brand and materials are our intellectual property. Creations your child makes belong to you/your child; you grant Heroco a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, moderate and operate those creations to provide the Service. Children’s creations are not shared publicly by default. Rights in AI-generated output are provided to you subject to the AI provider’s terms and applicable law.

9AI disclaimer

AI features can make mistakes or produce imperfect results. They are for learning and creativity, not professional, medical, legal or safety advice. Adult supervision is recommended.

10Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted, our liability is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer-protection law.

11Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect users; where you’ve prepaid, unused amounts are handled per the Refund Policy.

12Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms and will post the new effective date (and notify you of material changes). These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Heroco is established, and disputes are subject to its competent courts, without prejudice to mandatory local consumer protections.
